Paraiba Lodge
Paraiba Lodge, is situated on the Eastern Bank of the Essequibo River, approximately 20 miles (32 kms), south of Iwokrama River Lodge, deep into the Jungles of Guyana. The name is derived from its proximity to the habitat of the largest cat fish species of South America, the Goliath Catfish, Piraiba or Lau Lau. The Lodge is constructed primarily from wood, and consists of eight (8) twin rooms, and two (2) double room- all self-contained, powered by a photovoltaic system (solar system), offering a mixture of comfort and rusticity, surrounded by pristine rainforest, full of wildlife.
Activities include fishing, wildlife and birding tours, trekking, canoeing, swimming and more.
